Effective November 1, 2005,
out-of-area listings taken by an Arcadia Association
member can be brought into the AAR office to be entered
into the reciprocating MLS. No longer does the listing
agent have to get a letter of good standing and wait
days for the listing to be entered into the cooperating
MLS's. The staff of the AAR office will enter the listing
for you. The following MLS's are participating in this
new program.

South Bay Association and Palos
Verdes Association have decided to wait until the first
of next year (2006) to adopt the new policy. MLS's not using
the new system are Conejo Valley and Palm Springs.
If you take a listing in any of
the area, be sure to use the following steps to enter
that listing:
*Go to
www.theaar.com
click on Members Forms on the left
vertical menu, then click on Reciprocal Listing Forms
and choose the form you need.
*Take the completed listing form
to the AAR office with your payment form and check. The
AAR staff will input the listing into the correct system.
*It is also very important that
you submit all changes and sales information to the AAR for
input. Remember, you are subject to fines from the MLS
for that area if you do not keep the information current.
*AAR Staff does not know the MLS
Rules for any outside area MLS. If you are taking a
listing and putting it into another area, it is your
responsibility to know and meet their MLS rules. Check
the Associations websites for their rules and
regulations prior to taking the listing.
